SPRING DEWS

 SPRING DEWS

I walked among the mist-smooched hills

Waiting for the spring dews.

The hills were weary from loneliness.

It was those poems you write they missed.

They love to hear what your soul has to speak

They waited along with me for the spring dews.

You went for a holiday, to a forgotten land.

Promising you will return by spring.

It turned cold, the birds left the skies.

I was all alone, not a teardrop did I shed.

It was a wake up call from the juniper fox

Cute he was, told me spring will come.

Leaves fell, branches became brittle

Birds started their migratory journey

Snow started falling, I froze.

Passed another second and I saw.

I saw your smile like the rising sun

Hidden among the orange clouds.

Colorful birds, green trees; April came.

And so did YOU.
